Now you can say good bye to making confusing faces after reading a text message from a friend who doesn’t speak the same language as you. Thanks to Slated, a new keyboard now available for iOS 8, it has become a lot easier to communicate with others regardless of the language they speak. This application is breaking down the language barrier, that too in real time. It allows users to post translated messages without any additional steps which earlier involved a lot of copying and pasting.

The Slated app currently supports 81 different languages. The keyboard itself is same as the default iOS keyboard so it makes it real easy to adjust to using this new keyboard. Once you select a language, the app will show you your evolving translation below the text bar as you type in real time. The app also works backwards so that you can understand the other person too. All you need to do is tap on the message received, and hit “copy”. This will make the translation appear in the bar underneath the text entry box.

The app is priced at USD $ 4.99 at iTunes. You can click here to download the app.
