If you are afraid to move to iOS 8 because someone told you that Personal Hotspot is gone, well don’t be because they are wrong! Many people have been finding it hard to locate the personal hotspot. It is partially because in iOS 8 Apple has added an additional step, which you need to take before the Personal Hotspot appears.
Follow these simple instructions to use the Personal Hotspot feature to share your iPhone’s data connection with other devices:
- Go to Settings
- Click on Cellular. (It might say Mobile in some cases)
- Click on Cellular Data Network. (It might say Mobile Data Network in some cases).
- Scroll down to the bottom to ‘Personal Hotspot’ and enter any username. Now go back to settings and you will see the option to enable or disable Personal Hotspot.
