Review: Stick Tennis

Remember the Stick Cricket game that you loved playing (or maybe you still do) on your iPhone? Well then, the people at Stick Sports have a real treat for you; they have recently released Stick Tennis for iOS! If you do not own an iOS device, you can still play the games on their website!

The game’s pretty easy to play and carries the same addictive charm Stick Cricket does! The only thing you have to worry about when playing this game is timing. To serve, you tap the screen and the player throws the ball upwards now, you swipe in whichever direction you want to shoot the ball at. The player walks around and follows the ball automatically, all you have to do is get the timing right. This can take a little getting used to, but your timing will become perfect in a few plays!

The game has three modes you can play without using your money. One’s the practice mode, in which you practice with whatever player you want. And then there’s the challenge of the day mode, in which you get one chance to win a match selected for that specific day. Lastly, there’s also the World Domination mode but even in that you can only play a few matches before the game asks you to pay money to unlock the rest of the matches.

The rest of the modes are basically tournaments you can play but you need to purchase these beforehand. The part about spending money to unlock matches/tournaments is, in my opinion, the only let down in this game just because it takes the ‘free-game’ essence away from it.

Give the game a go for yourself. Download it from the App Store! Tell us what you think in the comments section.
