How this game has made the top-rated free apps in the US app store is simply beyond my understanding. Save the Titanic can be classified as a frustrating and totally pointless game available for iOS and Android devices. For a new player it might seem like impossible to save the ship, but actually you can! 
Your objective in this game is to save the titanic from hitting an iceberg by taking control of its steering wheel. All you have to do is spin the wheel in a clockwise circular motion as fast as you can. If you fail to do so, the ship hits the iceberg and you lose. However, if you do spin the wheel fast enough, the ship steers out of the icebergs way and you”re successful in saving the thousands of people on board.
Winning the game is incredibly difficult. It’s almost impossible. I guess the game is challenging, but not challenging in a way that would make it fun. I for one, went through the game a few times, and deleted it as soon as I was able to win. It doesn’t have the same addictive charm the other apps that make it to top-rated do. The background music and the captain”s witty remarks also get on your nerves at times. The reviews it got on the App store and Google Play were also awful. According to one of them:
I think i vaporized the screen protector trying to win this game. Seriously my finger tips hurt. One it 1 time tried over 29 times
The only benefits of playing this game are that you can build quite a lot of finger muscle from spinning the wheel all day. It’s also one of the apps you can give your two year old to play to get him to stop crying. The notes displayed at the end about the people you saved/didn”t save are also sometimes pretty funny. 
I for one am very unsatisfied and feel that the standard and criteria for being a top-rated app is slowly deteriorating day by day.
