Google has finally pushed out a much needed update to its native Gmail client for iOS. The new app brings three much demanded features making a life a little easier for the users. One of the most annoying thing with the previous version was that you couldn’t send emails from your alternate email addresses added in the Gmail account. But with this update out finally those days are long gone.

According to iTunes App Store following changes have been rolled out in the version 1.2.7812:

– Notification Center support. Banners, alerts and lock screen notification options.
– “Send-as”. Alternate sender support, if configured within Gmail.
– Persistent login. Sessions no longer expire.

Now we are waiting for the update in which Google finally adds the much appreciated feature, ‘Labels’!
