Who said that best things in the world don’t come for free? At least Instagram does for its consumers! Facebook has recently made a billion-dollar deal to buy the startup named Instagram.

Instagram is a free photo sharing application for both iOS and Android which makes turns the sharing experience of photos into fun. The application is really user friendly and easy to use. First time you install the application it asks you to sign up. Once done it gives you an option to find friends who are using the application. Like twitter you can even follow people using the application. The best part is ability to apply different filters to the picture on the phone to make them look even more beautiful. The application has approximately 27 million registered users.

This best experience of sharing photos with friend and family is one of the key factors which motivated Mark Zuckerberg to go ahead with this acquisition. Zuckerberg called the acquisition “an important milestone for Facebook because it’s the first time we’ve acquired a product and company with so many users. We don’t plan on doing many more of these, if any at all.”
