Google’s Latest Beast; Nexus 4 with JellyBean 4.2

Google recently announced it’s latest flagship phone, the Nexus 4, which is manufactured by LG.

Nexus 4 can be considered as the most authoritative phone of 2012 as it is equipped with  powerful specifications and the much appreciated Android Jelly Bean with its latest update  4.2.

 

Nexus 4 Price and Availability

The nexus 4 is expected to hit the stores by November 13th,  and it would cost $299 for the 8 Gb version and $349 for the 16 Gb version. nexus 4 will be sold unlocked and is GSM/HSPA+ compatible so it will operate on almost all the networks worldwide, including T-Mobile in the US.

 

Salient Features

Display:

Nexus 4 is equipped with True HD IPS Plus capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, 768 x 1280 pixels, 4.7 inches (318 ppi pixel density) and Its screen would be protected with corning gorilla glass 2. The IPS display is more crisp than the super AMOLED and the display has a 16:10 ratio instead of the 16:9, which makes the makes  Nexus 4’s display wider (but not taller) than the galaxy nexus.

Memory:

Like its predecessor, the galaxy nexus, Nexus 4 also lacks a memory card slot. It will come equipped with 8/16 GB internal memory. The RAM is increased to 2Gb, which makes it super fast.

Camera:

The front camera of Nexus 4 is 8 Mp , 3264 x 2448 pixels equipped with  autofocus, LED flash and features like Touch focus, geo-tagging, face detection, photo sphere. While the secondary camera is 1.3 MP camera with Full HD video recording.

Processor:

Nexus 4 is armed with Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait with Adreno 320 GPU. This processor  make this phone lightening fast and extremely  smooth.

Body:

The overall shape and design is quite similar to that of galaxy nexus with slight changes.

Battery:

Standard Li-Po 2100mAh battery and an impressive feature is that this phone has the ability of wireless charging.

 

Android Jelly bean 4.2:

The keyboard is modified to a gesture based keyboard with will really make it easy to text with one hand by sliding your finger over letters and this smart keyboard will also get ahead and predict the next word.

      Well, it really depends on you. The specs of both are almost the same and the main difference is the screen size, if you’re good with a very large screen then you should opt for note 2. I personally like nexus 4 as im a google fan 🙂
