King of Thieves is the latest game from the makers of the Cut the Rope franchise, developed by ZeptoLab UK Limited. However, the game dynamic of King of Thieves are quite different. It is not a game based on physics-based puzzle game this is more of a mix of platformer and PvP multiplayer. And it is a well-designed game I must say. The visuals in King of Thieves follow the cute and charming style of the developer’s other games they have launched in the past. The main character, King of Thieves, is a small black blob that can jump off walls with ease. The stages all feature cleverly planned layouts, and the game layout is filled with vibrant colors and fine details. Animations are smooth and the game has a nice upbeat soundtrack.

The game has a nice tutorial in the beginning that gets you acquainted with the basics of the game. Once you have learned the basis, you can go through the levels in order and even find random matches against other players, where you can sneak into their dungeons and steal gems and other valuables. But this means that other players can also raid your dungeon. If you have friends playing the game, you can form guilds to stand guard against hostile forces. Regardless of the game mode you are playing, the objective is to sneak in and steal the treasures and get back out alive.

The controls in the game are simple. The character moves forward automatically, but will stop once it hits a wall. To change the direction, you can just off the wall, or you can jump up a chamber by bouncing of between walls. In order to jump, just tap on the screen. In order to add challenge to the game there are several obstacles, which you will have to avoid. Once you grab all the treasure and look available in the map, you need to head towards the exit in order to complete the stage. Hitting a trap results in losing health, and the more lives you lose the less stars you will earn.

You can protect your dungeon by installing traps. As you play along you unlock more traps in order to make your defenses stronger. You can use the gold coins to upgrade your gems, lock and even craft outfits for your character.

Considering the game is based on freemium model, so there will be a lot of times you will be tempted to make purchases. In order to break into a stage you need to unlock the lock. This requires use of keys that are limited. You only earn keys by earning stars. And every time you chose incorrectly you lose a key

The game is definitely worth a try.
