For all those who are still using non-wingle devices of PTCL EVO, there is no need to change your device because you can always share your PTCL EVO wirelessly on other devices using several TP Link devices. You can use portable solutions like TL-MR3020 or TL-MR3040 to share your internet on the move. And if you want a fixed solution for home, you can use devices like TL-MR3420 or TL-MR3220. All of these are readily available in the market. The configuration of these devices is very easy.
For the purpose of this post we will be focusing on TL-MR3040. The setup for all devices is the same. All you need to do is access the router page of the device and click on Quick Setup.
Select 3G only and then when you click next enter the following details
Dial in number: #777
Username: vwireless@ptcl.com
Password: ptcl
APN: (leave blank)
Click next and it will ask you for wireless settings. Enter those as per your liking. Once you have done that save the settings and reboot your device. And that is pretty much it. Happy surfing!
