If you aren’t afraid of anyone else using your computer and would want to remove an extra step before you gain access to your Mac, follow the guidelines below to disable the password lock screen.
- Open System Preferences. You can do so by using spotlight, or clicking on the apple icon at the top left of your screen.
- Select ‘Security & Privacy’
- Now press on the lock icon at the bottom left. You may be prompted to enter your password.
- Now un-check ‘Disable automatic login’. Once you do so it will ask you for username and password you want to get automatically logged into.
That is it. Now when you restart you Mac you shouldn’t be asked for password to login.
